IFA 2010 Report - Earlier this year, Panasonic announced a professional 3D broadcast camera and succeeded in bringing high-quality Full HD 3D images to the home for viewing on 3D compatible TVs. Thanks to these groundbreaking developments, Panasonic is now pleased to announce the world’s first consumer 3D camcorder, the Panasonic HDC-SDT750, which allows 3D images to be recorded at home. Sony NEX camcorder

IFA 2010 Show - The new Sony NEX VG10 camcorder is the world's first consumer camcorder with interchangeable lenses and the first Handycam camcorder to feature an extra-large Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. Sony's NEX-VG10 Interchangeable lens HD Handycam camcorder is equipped with the same Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor used in the "Sony NEX-5" and "NEX-3" digital cameras and compatible with the high grade "E-mount" series of smaller, lighter lenses optimized for video shooting with silent operation and AF. The Sony NEX camcorder is also compatible with a wealth of "A-mount" interchangeable lenses used by Sony's existing alpha DSLR camera line-up via a mount adapter (sold separately), including award winning Sony G Lenses and Carl Zeiss branded lenses.

New offerings for fall include the easy-to-use Disney Flix Video Cam, high-quality iPod compatible speakers and the debut of the first line of Disney LCD TVs. Products are inspired by some of Disney’s most popular franchises, including Disney Princess, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Disney Channel’s High School Musical and Hannah Montana. The Disney Flix Video Cam comes bundled with High School Musical Disney Director software. Additional Disney Director software titles can be purchased separately and include Cinderella and Pirates of the Caribbean (SRP $14.99 each).

Interactive Frontiers introduced the V1-8CAM at the grand opening of Cool Clubs, a custom club and putter fitting center located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Cool Clubs founder Mark Timms selected Interactive Frontiers to develop the V1-8CAM for his state-of-the-art club fitting centers. The V1-8CAM simultaneously captures eight angles of video streams allowing Cool Club fitters to more precisely evaluate performance and determine optimal club and putter specifications for clients. “The V1-8CAM allows us to see all relevant angles of our clients’ putting strokes so we can accurately match each person’s putting style with the most advantageous putter measurements,” said Timms.

Where High Definition tribute in the consumer segment of camcorders, 3D is today’s hottest feature.
