As you probably know, the Hasselblad Masters Award, one of the most prestigious awards in the industry, has made a reputation over the years by celebrating the best in both established and rising photographic talent. The Masters Awards are given in recognition of a photographer’s contribution to the art of photography and are judged on overall photographic ability, encompassing creativity, composition, conceptual strength, and technical skill. Hasselblad has awarded twelve separate Masters Awards each year, with an annual calendar presented featuring the winners’ work. Past Masters have included both renowned artists of international standing e.g. Albert Watson, Anton Corbijn or Patrick Demarchelier.

Hasselblad FlexColor software

The Hasselblad FlexColor software for image capture and processing continues to set new standards for digital photography. The software has always been free of charge for Hasselblad users. Digital correction for vignetting implemented as DAC level III completing Hasselblad’s development of digital lens corrections, which started out with correction for color aberration (DAC level I) and distortion (DAC level II). The correction is continuously adjustable between 0 and 100%. andheld capture at longer exposure times is improved by a short capture delay after the mirror-up movement. This minimizes vibration during exposure. The optional delay is 50 msec per default, and can be set from 0 to 200 msec.

IFA NEWS 2017 REPORT - The IFA International Consumer Electronics Show took place every two years, but since 2006 the IFA show became once again an annual event under Berlin’s famous Funkturm landmark. In the early days, back in 1924 the IFA began in Berlin as the “Great German Radio Exhibition”. In the meantime, the International Consumer Electronics Show has not only become the world's biggest trade show for consumer electronics but also presents the world's largest number of product premieres in consumer electronics and home appliances. At IFA 2009 more than 3 billion Euros worth of orders were generated. IFA 2010 could even surpass this number! The total number of exhibitors at last year’s IFA show was 1164 from 46 countries.
