IFA Report
SanDisk launched the SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter, offering fast transfer speeds from memory cards to notebook computers without the need to carry cables or external card readers. The new SanDisk adapter fits into the ExpressCard slot now found in most new notebook computers, and accepts six card formats: SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MMCplus, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo. Many competing ExpressCard adapters only accept the full size Memory Stick format, running counter to the swing in market momentum toward the smaller Duo form factor. The SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter is expected to available in North America and Europe in September.

Flash Memory market report
- Brand: Research and Markets
- Subject: Storage
- Category: Flash Memory
The flash memory market has grown at an extremely fast rate, when compared with all other types of semiconductors. Much of this can be owed to the rabid use of flash memory in Apple iPod portable media players, but also to the growth of the cellular phone market, where over 1.2 billion handsets are expected to be sold worldwide this year alone, as well as other electronic devices. We also investigate the various flash memory vendors, as well as their upcoming technology innovations and fabrication plant production plans. We also present information on research into shrinking the flash die size and creating newer architectures such as Phase Change Memory and 3D Memory.
